7 Proven Tips for Entrepreneurship Motivation
1.Prayer and Fasting:
I think I say this in every post I write: fasting and prayer are so important. When you fast, you put your flesh under subjection, allowing your spirit to have full control instead of your flesh. The spirit inside of you is connected with God.
When fasting, it means to afflict the soul or self, practicing self-denial and abstinence from food, social media, and/or people. As a result, when praying, your spirit has more power because there is a spiritual divine connection that you have with God, allowing you to be more connected with Him.
Furthermore, here are a few scriptures that reference the power of prayer and fasting, and how the two are connected. Miracles, signs, and wonders happen when we submit our own understanding, will, and power unto God, and allow His Spirit to help us grow our business His way.
Daniel 6:11- Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
Daniel 9:3 - Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.
Matthew 17:21- However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
Esther 4:15-16- Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
Esther 5:1- Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace, across from the king’s house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house.
Esther 5:4-8- So Esther answered, “If it pleases the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him.” Then the king said, “Bring Haman quickly, that he may do as Esther has said.” So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared. At the banquet of wine the king said to Esther, “What is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your request, up to half the kingdom? It shall be done!” Then Esther answered and said, “My petition and request is this: If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, then let the king and Haman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king has said.”
2. Goal Settings:
Plan and write down your short- and long-term goals. I know we live in a digital world, but sometimes it's best to have pen and paper handy. I find that when I have a brain dump, I use my notebook to write down my short-term and long-term goals for entrepreneurship motivation.
As a result, keeping these goals visible keeps me motivated. It reminds me why I am doing it. I do this to glorify God and to serve women entrepreneurs by focusing on helping them align their business endeavors with their unique calling with fearless faith, and giving them faith-based tips and resources.

3. Stay Disciplined:
In everything you do as an entrepreneur, it's important to maintain discipline. Spiritual discipline is an ongoing process that helps believers mature in Christ and discern God's will in their personal and business journeys.
Maintaining discipline is crucial for entrepreneurial motivation. These disciplines include changing mindset, implementing strategies, and committing to an attitude that reflects your goals and what you want to achieve.
“And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end”. - Hebrews 6:11How To Stay Disciplined
4. Change of Scenery:
In order to get entrepreneurship motivation, you have to get inspiration elsewhere. It's great to get out of the house and be outdoors. When I need more inspiration and motivation to get new ideas, I love going to local coffee shops, libraries, and even restaurants to get work done.
However, depending on the weather you can even go to the park. I love taking a blanket to sit on the grass and watch God’s creation. I also put on my headphones to listen to Christian Lofi, worship + praise music, which tunes out the outside noise.
Changing of scenery does improve your mindset, and boost your confidence in your work, and you would have the opportunity to network in your community.
5. Read Faith-Based books:
Reading books can change your mindset and encourage you to be goal-driven. It is recommended to read self-help books to gain a different perspective on changing your habits, improving productivity, and seeking guidance based on a biblical viewpoint rather than worldly advice.
Additionally, here are the top 3 books for entrepreneurship motivation that have changed my mindset and helped me understand what God has called me to do. I highly recommend that you give them a read as well.

6.Clarity and Focus:
It's important to have clarity and understand why, who, and what you are doing it for. As Christians, we must remember that we are to please God, not man. We have to remain focused on the goals that we set for ourselves and know that sometimes not everyone will support us or see our vision, and that's okay because God will bless us and give us the strength to keep going.
7. Endurance and Trails:
Sometimes, you may not see immediate growth in your content for days, weeks, or even months, and that's perfectly fine. Growth takes time. It's natural to feel discouraged when you see others' content thriving, but it's important to remember that we don't always see the hard work and effort that goes on behind the scenes. As Christian entrepreneurs, it's essential to shift our mindset. -James 1:12. We are set apart as a peculiar generation- I Peter 2:9, and God through His perfect timing and Spirit will make it happen. -Psalms 1:3
