Lord, I ask that You provide me with Your strength to overcome the temptation of procrastination, laziness, disobedience, and other sinful things that are not of You.

Jesus, I pray that you guide me and teach me to maintain steadfastness to keep going when school or work gets hard. Lord, I also pray for my classmates, co-workers, staff, and professors who may need Your strength. Father, I ask that you protect my mind, ears, eyes, and tongue from sin; no weapon formed against me shall prosper. How To Balance School And Work Full-time

1. How To Manage Time For Studies

The best way to manage your time wisely would be to divide your tasks into different times of the day and prioritize tasks that need to be completed initially. By this, you'll be able to organize your schedule. In order to better manage your time, you have the option of utilizing the Google Calendar app on your mobile or computer to allocate specific time blocks for your schedule. Alternatively, you can also make use of a physical planner or calendar.

2. How To Be Productive In School

Being productive can be challenging for some people, especially when distracted, and they may need to be more motivated. However, there is a way to be productive and focus on essential tasks. The key is to make a to-do list of what needs to be done. Whatever your to-do list is, you must complete the most challenging thing first, followed by the most straightforward task.

Secondly, staying focused while doing these tasks may also be a challenge. Let’s be honest; you may procrastinate, but know you must get back on task because the work must be done. So, how do you stay productive? You give yourself grace and remind yourself only to do what you can. Being productive may mean pacing yourself and doing little by little each day. If you can do a paragraph a day, that is fine; doing 1-2 pages is also fine! But I want to remind you that you are only human, and we are not perfect. You may go through seasons in yourself to where you feel overwhelmed with life some days and ITS OKAY! We live in a world where everything has to be rushed and perfect, but in reality, it's not; you must be consistent and pace yourself to be productive.

3. How To Have A Routine

Having a routine is what you repeatedly do daily; it's the steps you take when you start your day. The top 5 recommended routine list that may work for you first is to start by waking up early to give you enough time to complete whatever you need before you start work.

  1. Wake up at 5:00 a.m., No later than 6 a.m.!
  2. Spend time with God.
  • Prayer
  • Journal
  • Bible Study
  • Daily Devotional
  • Watch Sermons on YouTube
  • The Bible Project Series

  1. Morning routine/Eat breakfast.
  2. Look at your schedule of what you need to do first.
  3. Write a to-do list of your top 3 priorities that must be completed by the end of the day. Focus on one thing at a time and take breaks in between workflow.

4. How To Stay Organized For School

Staying organized as a student is a must; this is how you are prepared for upcoming assignments and keep up with due dates. As you go through your syllabus, you can get ahead by writing down the due dates and completing assignments ahead of time because you are organized.

BEST PRACTICES

  • Buy a 12-18 month planner to write down all your assignments by their due date. (Preferably hardcopy)
  • Buy folders or 5 College ruled notebook  with dividers to separate each module. These supplies will help you organize your notes and any printed documents when studying.

5. How To Stay Organized For Work

Staying organized for work can mean managing your time wisely; whether you work from home or go to work in person, you still need to manage your time to balance the important things you have to accomplish before you start work. Therefore, you can write down your to-do list to stay organized.  Staying organized for work will help you by doing things ahead of time instead of last minute, so you don't have to worry about it later when you clock out. Secondly, establish a routine for work to make it a daily habit to be productive. Lastly, maintain a cluttered free desk. Keeping your workspace clean will help you stay focused and organized. Therefore, you should tidy up when you are done with your space to handle cutters around your workspace in the morning.

6.How To Learn The Best Study Routine For Online + University Students

Learning the best study skills for online and university students by planning a study routine is all about finding the best possible routine for you. The first thing to do is experiment with how many hours you can put in each week; you can adjust when needed. Handwrite all your deadlines in a planner or calendar to remind you of days before your assignment or homework is due.

BEST PRACTICES

  • Hand-write a to-do list of what you need to get done for the day. Write down what needs to be covered, such as lecture videos/notes for each module and required reading. This study routine for online and university students will help you stay organized with your assignments or major projects throughout the semester.
  • Waking up early to prioritize homework and assignments. You can do lower-priority work in the morning. Then, fit your more important assignments later in your schedule; it's all about experimenting with what works best for you.
  • Study little by little each day, and give yourself breaks in between study sessions to work between 1-4 hours to keep yourself on track without procrastination. You can set an alarm for 5-15 mins every 2 hours. Your brain needs breaks, and you don't want to feel overwhelmed or burned out and not retain any information. Take a break and reward yourself by eating a snack, going outside to walk around, drinking water, or being on social media for a bit.
  • Ask for help when you are stuck or may have questions. Your professor and classmates are there to help you succeed; the best way is to email or use Canvas to send a message to your professor to set up a meeting to help you better understand. You can also join a study group with your classmates to motivate you, or if you like, you can also go to tutoring that your school offers free for their students.

7. How To Effectively Study At Home

Studying at home can be challenging due to distractions, noise, and the temptation to sleep in. But however, if you are someone like me who works from home and takes online classes or a student in a dorm, this is the best recommendation for you to study at home.

BEST PRACTICES

  • By waking up early before anyone in the house while everyone is sleeping, you can manage to study.
  • Have a healthy, balanced diet; this will help your brain stay active and fit to help you stay focused during your study time.
  • Stay organized and keep necessary items within reach while studying. Sit near a window for natural light.
  • Turn off and remove any distractions that may cause you to procrastinate, such as your phone, notifications, etc. The best way is to turn off your phone completely or put it in the other room. Out of sight, out of mind!
  • Tune in with Christian lo-fi music to help you study along the way.

8. How To Have Motivation

One day at a time

  • As you may have many responsibilities, you need to take one day at a time and not cram everything simultaneously. You must pace yourself and do what only you can do each day. Work on one subject, one chapter, one assignment at a time.

Set goals

  • Set a list of goals you would like to accomplish throughout the school year. Motivation may mean getting all straight A’s or B’s and passing your assignments/ homework with 80% or 100%. Whichever goals you write down and accomplish, reward yourself for your hard work!

Stay positive

  • Keep a positive mindset throughout the semester. You will sometimes feel stressed in situations with an overload of work and tiredness. But don't focus on the negative parts of school or work; focus on the goal and why you started in the first place. Remind yourself how all your hard work will pay off soon.

Ask for help

  • As the semester goes by, the course material may be challenging. Asking for help is the perfect opportunity to email or message your professor or go to tutoring for help on assignments to pass your classes successfully.
